hello GFX
here is the first of a serie, i'm not sure how many I will post, but at least 3 i guess.
this was done in belgium, in the biggest birds park in our country (Paradisio)

this one is my favorite .... when i look at it, i think its like looking at an old family portrait... that bird ... its like he got some kind of decoration on the back of his head.... and that face and expression, i love it hehe , its powerfull

the crop is a bit unnusual, but i think it looked better like this

Oooh a Secretary Bird! these are one of my favourite birds ever. I was going to stick one in my witchfinder pic but ended up painting a vulture...next time.

ANYWAY sorry I am rambling. Lovely close up shot. Do you have a full body photo as these birds just rock with their freaky legs.

Nice one.

Very detailed, it seems that the focus is off slightly though, IMO it should be on the eye/head, the focus seems to be on the feathers of the body.

Nice portrait! I don´t like the crop, though. It feels a little bit too "cramped" and narrow for my personal taste. The bird doesn´t have enough "air to breathe"... But that´s quite subjective. Still a great shot with a nice focus!

I smile every time I look at this photograph. Why? Because the bird has lovely eyelashes and it seems like it is quite aware of that fact enough to be somewhat flirtatious. It's lovely.
